Breaking News: Kennedy Catholic will no longer be participating in PIAA playoffs; Ridgway to face Eisenhower instead

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – According to District 9 chairman Jim Manners, Kennedy Catholic’s boys’ basketball team will no longer be participating in the PIAA playoffs meaning Ridgway will now play Eisenhower in the opening round of the PIAA playoffs at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Clarion University’s Tippin Gym.

According to a Tweet from Bob Greenburg of Sports Radio 96.7 FM in Hermitage, Kennedy Catholic,  which earned third place in District 10 with a 66-62 double overtime win over Eisenhower in the consolation game, will forfeit the consolation game because of the use of an ineligible player. By virtue of the forfeit, Eisenhower becomes the third-place team out of District 10.
