ULYSSES — The Port Allegany girls clinched their second-straight North Tier League crown in convincing fashion, 64-8 over Northern Potter Monday.
Most of the Lady Gators (19-0, 14-0) wins have been of the dominant variety, with a 44-41 win at Coudersport on Jan. 8 the only game this season in which they haven’t won by double figures.
Becca Lathrop, Port Allegany’s leading scorer, posted a game high 17 points in the win over NoPo, while Shania Jones added a season-high 11 and Brooke Roys 10.
The Lady Gators, who have already clinched the top-seed in the D-9 Class A playoffs, are at Cameron County Tuesday and home to Austin Thursday as they look to complete an unbeaten regular season.
