Redbank Valley knocks off No. 1 Karns City girls

NEW BETHLEHEM ā€” Brooke Hinderliter scored 20 points and Madison McClaine added 16 points to lead the Redbank Valley Lady Bulldogs to a 49-41 win over Karns City, the top-ranked team in the latest Laurel Eye Clinic/D9Sports.Com basketball rankings.

Redbank Valley, which improved to 10-4 overall and 4-3 in the KSAC South, avenged a 43-36 loss at Karns City just one week ago.

Shanel Preston and LeeAnn Gibson each scored 10 points for Karns City. The Lady Gremlins lost their first game of the year to drop to 12-1 and 3-1 in the KSAC-South. That puts them in a three-way tie in the loss column with Keystone and Moniteau.
