Crusaders top Raiders for Straub’s 699th boys’ win

BROOKVILLE — The Elk County Catholic Crusaders notched a 67-44 District 9 League road win as their coach Aaron Straub won his 699th game in his 32nd season with the boys’ squad.

Straub won 27 games in two seasons with the ECC girls prior to moving to the boys’ program.

Mitchell Struble and Cory Huff scored 17 and 14 points respectively to lead 11-2 ECC. The Crusaders shot 59 percent from the floor and made 11 of their 12 shots from the floor in the fourth quarter.

Brookville (4-9) got 19 points from Nate Shirts.
