Boys’ Recap: Cameron County 48, Union 46 – Dec. 28, 2013

SHEFFIELD – No, it wasn’t quite as dramatic as Dylan Clingan’s three-quarters court shot to beat Ridgway a couple of weeks ago, but Nate Sestina helped keep the Cardiac Red Raiders of Cameron County unbeaten when he scored with three seconds left to give Cameron a 48-46 win over Union in the title game of the Sheffield Christmas Tournament Saturday night.

Cameron County (7-0) led pretty much the entire game before Union (5-3) tied the game at 46 on a basket with 11 seconds to play. But Sestina took a pass from Clingan and beat the Golden Knights defense for the win.

That capped a monster game for Sestina, who had 21 points and 11 rebounds. Clingan added  16 points and 10 boards.

Union got 15 points from Dylan Shirey.
